Cheeky, casual, thrilling: New head chef with new kitchen concept in 57 Restaurant & Lounge (11/16/2015)
Former sous-chef becomes head chef: Rene Poysl is the new chef de cuisine at the 57 Restaurant & Lounge at Meliá Vienna. Born in Vienna, he has been part of the kitchen team since the opening of the design hotel back in February 2014 and has made an essential contribution to the success of the restaurant, which is placed on the top floors of the DC Tower 1. Thus he already knows the kitchen crew as well as the procedures in the restaurant. Within his new position as head chef he will add his personal culinary touch to the menu.
Vienna Convention Bureau's Eco-label license renewed (11/11/2015)
The Vienna Tourist Board's Vienna Convention Bureau has been licensed to certify meetings as green meetings for another four years. The license – first issued to the bureau in the year 2011 – has to be renewed at regular intervals. It offers significant advantages in the international conference sector.
