There is hardly another city in the world where you will find more green areas than in Vienna.
Parks and gardens enrich the city, encouraging to take long walks, hiking and bike tours or simply to enjoy a relaxing time in the nearby Prater, Vienna Woods and Lobau leisure areas. The same is true for the beaches and river banks of Old Danube, the Danube Island or the Danube Canal.
The City of Vienna aims to maintain and enhance these qualities. Please follow this link and read more about the activities and actions implemented.
With a total of 236 international congresses (68% of them in Vienna) Austria has moved back into the top ten in the ICCA's country ranking, and is now in 10th place. The USA was able to extend its lead, with 595 international congresses, followed by Germany (458) and Spain (360).
"Viennas continued success is the result of a joint effort," according to Christian Mutschlechner, Director of the Vienna Tourist Board's Vienna Convention Bureau. "All the providers in Vienna's conference sector have made their contributions - especially our congress venues, the hotel trade, and agencies specializing in congresses. It is thanks to them, and also to many other service providers in our city, that Vienna has so successfully headed the league for so many years."
