Is funding available for meetings in Vienna? 

Vienna is supporting organizers of (association) congresses and corporate events through the Vienna Meeting Fund 2021-2023. The fund is aimed at domestic and international organizers who are planning meetings to be held in Vienna between May 1, 2021 and December 31, 2023. 

From 2024 Vienna will also be providing support for domestic and international organizers of (association) congresses through the Vienna Convention Fund 2024+. This fund was set up to provide financial assistance for congresses hosted in Vienna between January and April, and in July, August, November and December from 2024. 

Is support available if an event has to be canceled due to Covid-19?

The Austrian government’s financial support scheme for events covers financial damages incurred due to cancellations or restrictions placed on events due to Covid-19.
