Streaming Studio at the HOFBURG Vienna
State-of-the-art technology in a historic setting – it has to be the HOFBURG Vienna. In response to soaring demand for new meeting technologies, the congress center in the heart of the city upgraded its offering earlier this year: in mid-March 2021, the HOFBURG Vienna unveiled its highly versatile event streaming studio inside the stunning state rooms at the former imperial palace.
Different configuration options for the individual components mean that it is possible to link the studio area, cameras and editing booth using a single network cable. This delivers outstanding flexibility for organisers: at the press of a button, the studio can be set up in one room and the editing suite in another.
The equipment in the HOFBURG Vienna streaming studio includes a pair of 4k camcorders with operators and three PTZ HD cameras which can be operated simultaneously by a single person. The two 4k camcorders feature 15 times optical zoom for professional and fuss-free post-production.
The video mixing desk has up to eight external feeds and two main mix outputs as well as two streaming outputs, NDI integration for video, audio and data transmission over IP, real-time social media publishing, multichannel audio mixing as well as recording and internal storage. All of this makes streaming via Facebook Live, Twitch and other channels even easier. Video playback is possible without the need for any additional hardware. Built-in video, data-driven graphics, compositing and effects are all supported.
