Tokyo and Cape Town added to Austrian Airlines' long-haul portfolio

Austrian Airlines is operating non-stop flights to Tokyo five times a week since 15 May 2018. As of 27 October 2018, Cape Town will be served in the winter flight schedule twice a week, Tuesdays and Saturdays, from Vienna with a flight duration of around 11:25 hours. Among Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS are flying to the capital of Japan as well. While Lufthansa serves Tokyo-Haneda airport, Tokyo-Narita Airport serves Austrian Airlines and SWISS. The flight time to Tokyo with Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa or SWISS is about 11:30 hours. Additional connections to Cape Town are offered by Lufthansa departing from Frankfurt or Munich.

Tokyo fascinates with its lively shopping streets and historic districts, which always offer the opportunity to immerse oneself in a new culture. In this metropolis of millions, tradition and modernity are coming together and these are the reasons that make Tokyo a fascinating destination. Cape Town, on the other hand, enchants its visitors with its majestic coasts, famous vineyards and the natural beauty of this multicultural city.

In addition to Economy and Business Class, it is already possible to fly to the new destinations in Premium Economy Class. In the "Premium Eco", passengers are offered seats with a larger angle of inclination, more seat spacing and a wider seat surface. In comparison with economy class, this is complemented by a larger 12-inch screen for DO&CO's on-demand entertainment program and enhanced catering.
