Hybrid meetings at Vienna hotels
Although not exactly new, hybrid meetings are in greater demand than ever before due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Giving in-person and remote participants access to the same meeting content calls for a special set-up. Numerous hotels in Vienna have either had the necessary equipment in place for a long time or have initiated all the upgrades they need over the course of the past few months to make live meeting broadcasts a reality. The following examples provide a sample of what the city has to offer.
Hotel Zeitgeist Vienna added HD cameras and ceiling mics to its MEZZANIN Meetings & Events by Zeitgeist Vienna seminar center in spring 2021. Managed via touchscreen, its state-of-the-art conferencing equipment supports a wide range of options – from interactive video conferences featuring external speakers to live workshops.
Austria Trend Hotels in Vienna have no end of solutions for hybrid meetings. Thanks to its in-house streaming suite, Hotel Savoyen Vienna is perfect for professional webinars, video conferences, recordings and online congresses. The full service suite package includes a fully-equipped mixing desk, individual streaming portal as well as a green screen on request .
Equipped with screens, video equipment and microphones, Vienna's Hilton hotels are ideally suited for hybrid meetings. Organizers can choose between a wide range of packages which are priced either according to duration and/or the number of participants.
Alongside top-notch tech (highspeed internet for one-way broadcast and patching in external speakers, streaming equipment, cameras, video mixing desk and sound system), Viennese boutique hotel Sans Souci offers everything needed for a custom website for the individual event, and also provides professional media and sound engineering services. And if required, the Sans Souci team can even take on every aspect of event organization, leaving hosts free to focus on content.
The accommodations in the Schani Hotels group have been making a name for themselves with their innovative solutions ever since they entered the market. So it comes as no surprise that hybrid meetings are their strong suit: the Schani‘s Rooftop meeting space includes videowalls, a professional sound system and digital flipcharts.
Fleming’s Hotels offer hybrid meetings featuring Jabra PanaCast video conferencing equipment. Highlights include a 180° panoramic camera, hands-free voice recording and projector with screen to support hybrid meetings. The individual hotels offer bespoke packages aligned to the duration of the meeting.
The Accor Hotel group, which has 21 hotels in Vienna (incl. at Vienna International Airport), launched ALL CONNECT in April 2021, a new concept for hybrid meetings developed in partnership with Microsoft Teams. By 2022 all of its hotels worldwide will offer this pioneering new technology. Novotel Wiener Hauptbahnhof has a special service for organizers: its very own streaming studio.
Altstadt Hotel Vienna, which joined forces with Weframe One to cover a full spectrum of technical specifications, now has all the angles covered with a 4k screen, microphones and an interactive digital flipchart to ensure that virtual participants feel like they really are with everyone else at meeting room level41.
NH Hotels have also been investing in their digital meeting and event portfolio, with NH Hotel Danube City now all set for a full range of hybrid meeting solutions.
In addition to the various hybrid meeting options on offer at Vienna's hotels, there is one more thing that they all have in common: comprehensive safety plans which make it possible for them to host meetings safely during the Covid-19 pandemic.
